Dual Immersion Language Program
Find out what's happening with the 2011-2012 Dual Immersion Language Program and why your child should be enrolled. A promotional video (featuring Park City School District) will also be shown. There will also be a question and answer session with administrators, teachers and parents of dual immersion students.
New School Bus and Student Tracking System
Park City School District is implementing a new system that will allow school officials to track when and where a student gets on and off a school bus. Using GPS technology, the system will also track the real time location of each school bus.
Students will be given a small card that will automatically log their entry or exit when they pass a scanner located on the school bus. The bus pass is much like the card many employees now use when entering their place of business.
Transportation director Brent Chaston can use the system from his office to check when a student boards or exits a bus and where a bus is at any given time. If a parent calls to ask about a late student, Chaston or a school secretary — the only ones able to log into the system — can determine the bus location along the route and whether a particular child is on board.
We want your feedback! Please tell us how we are doing.
Each year, Park City School District sends out surveys asking parents to evaluate our school administrators. This year, parents are being asked to evaluate administrators at Parleys Park, Trailside, the high school, and Ecker Hill.
Please watch for a survey in the mail. Complete it as best you can and then return it in the attached self-addressed stamped envelope. Thank you for your help and input.
